In 1986 Medicom
joined forces with Cauzin Systems, a high-tech firm funded by Xerox
Corp, Eastman Kodak, General Instrument Corp, and several venture
capital groups.
David brokered an agreement with Cauzin President Robert L. Brass
(left), to integrate Cauzin's softstrip technology
on the Medical Datacard, to enable the card to be read using scanning
equipment.
This breakthrough propelled Medicom to new heights.

David was also
instrumental in brokering an agreement with America's Pharmacy, Inc,
one of America's leading mail order pharmaceutical firms.
Under this agreement, Medicom was to provide prescription drugs of
every kind to its Medical Datacard subscribers under a profit sharing
arrangement.
